HOMEADVISOR REVIEWS

In need of new siding for our house, we began looking for a reliable contractor. Our search led us to Home advisor where we found Sensible Home Products. We called and set up a meeting with Jeremy. Jeremy came out to the house to review and discuss what we wanted to do. He listened to our needs and provided a sample of the siding he was recommending for our house. We asked if he did more than just siding since we were also looking for a new front door, bay window, and garage doors. Jeremy provided catalogs and options for us to think about in picking out the doors and windows for our project. Jeremy assured us he would be able to do the entire project in a timely manner. We requested and received a reasonable quote for the amount of work we were looking at getting done and ultimately signed a contract with Jeremy for the work. On the day the project was to begin Jeremy and his crew were there early and worked every day, weather permitting. His crew was very professional and quickly showed that they really knew what they were doing. They showed up early and stayed late when required to get a job done. Each night they took the time to clean up the property and store the materials away for the next day. As the project progressed it became evident that we also needed a new roof. Again, Jeremy explained what he and his crew could do and provided a quote to get the work done. There was never any pressure from Jeremy to do the roof in fact just the opposite since doing the roof would mean he had to re-schedule some of his other work to get this done for us. Jeremy did re-schedule his work and we got the new roof. Not only did Jeremy show up at the house everyday but he was in constant contact on the phone to make sure the project was going as we had planned. They took a 38 year old house that looked worn and made it look new again, we couldnâ t be more pleased. Special thanks to Jeremyâ s entire crew but in particular Victor, Vlad, and Andrew who are truly outstanding at what they do. We very highly recommend Sensible Home Products for any home repairs you may require.

I could not be happier with the results of the siding project on my house. The professionalism and attention to detail are second to none. They do what they say and say what they do. Also had them build a custom shed to match the house. Its so perfect my mom wants to use it as a ‘Tiny House’! The lines are perfectly straight, the windows look like they are brand new. I went from having a house that was missing siding (due to wind storm) to having the nicest house on the street by far! I would definitely hire them again with out a doubt!

I can’t say enough good things about Sensible Home Products! I hired them to remodel my 1922 carriage style garage, which was in pretty tough shape, in need of some structural repairs; as well as, siding and garage doors. Jeremy worked tirelessly to get the project done within my budget. He arranged for his one of his best team members, Andrew Silva, to complete the repairs and siding and garage doors. They did a phenomenal job!! If you could see the before and after photos, you would never believe it was the same structure! I found working with Jeremy very easy. He is honest and reliable. He kept me updated on the progress of the project; even touching base on the weekend. I would very highly recommend Sensible Home Projects for all new builds or remodel projects!

Short version – Sensible Home Products has done a phenomenal job on our home. We are so glad we found Jeremy and his high rating is definitely deserved. We had a roof, vinyl siding, door/window trim, a few windows, garage doors, and garage trim all completed by his team in quick order. I was very impressed with the crew’s professionalism and attention to detail. The work was completed quickly and afterwards there was no debris left to pick up. In fact, the dumpster was out of the driveway 30 minutes after the job was complete. Nice touch J. Long version – My neighborhood was hit with a freak hailstorm in Mid-May 2018. Tennis ball sized hail did a number to my house and every other house in a 2 mile radius. The very next day, the construction equivalent of ambulance chasers from all over the country converged and promised homeowners to fix it right. Big fancy trucks, matching uniforms, glossy pamphlets. Naturally suspicious of the convenience that they were selling I held off and met with local contractors and finally Jeremy (because of the high ratings). I am sure glad I waited. He laid everything out for me, showed me the quality of is work, suggested a few improvements within my budget and got right to work for us. Besides the quality of work I witnessed in pictures what really struck a chord with me was that his crew has been with him for years. It shows a lot of character in the construction business to have a crew work that many years for one general contractor. I could tell he cared about taking care of his crews and doing right by the customer. Fast forward 2 week before construction was to start and we had buyer’s remorse on the color choice for the home. I still feel bad but Jeremy really went to bat for us on siding already custom made for our job and got it switched to a different color. It wasn’t without some hardship so please, if you do decide on a color, stick to it. I’m not sure Jeremy could take another last minute change of that magnitude. Construction begins in early November. The construction crew shows up on time every day the weather permitted and even some days when it didn’t. They had many, many windows and doors that required trimming out and, if there’s one thing Jeremy takes greatest pride in, it’s the trim work. There was one gentleman bending metal full time each and every day on the job and I continue to be amazed at the quality of their work. Whereas most aluminum trim is flat, they actually made several bends in the metal to give it depth and pop out more. Additionally, we ponied up for the Azek trim around the garage doors and wow! what a difference. I get compliments daily on how great the doors and trim look. As a consequence of having such a great looking house with everything so well put together I now see other homes differently. You never recognize the poor craftsmanship and cut corners until you see great craftsmanship. I thought my house looked good and that’s why I bought it a few years ago. With the new siding/roof it made me realize how old and tired the house was. One last feather in Jeremy’s cap is that he is a great communicator. There may not have been a day over the past month that I haven’t spoken with him about the project. In comparison, my neighbor sent a large check to another contractor and has not been able to reach him for the past few weeks. In summary, the hailstorm was the worst/best thing to happen to this house and Sensible Home Products really went above and beyond in every facet of this construction project. Cheers Jeremy, great job.

The entire experience was above what I expected. I was impressed with the knowledge and care the team had for their product and work. The guys who installed the siding were polite and professional. They took off the existing siding and replaced several areas of rotting boards. I can’t believe how great my house looks now. I didn’t expect such an improvement. In addition, I have used less air conditioning when it is hot and heat when it turned cold.

As a former “Installation Compliance Specialist” for James Hardie’s Siding division, I’m an authority on Best-Practices with respect to proper siding installation. Sensible Home Products really knocked it out of the park. The entire experience was above what I expected and I can’t say enough good things about them. The little things matter, every cut, trim piece, and accent. The professionalism and attention to detail that Jeremy and his crew brought to our home were second to none. They were polite, professional and I was impressed with their neatness, knowledge and work ethic. They didn’t rush through the job, but made sure everything was done to perfection. Now a little bit about the owner Jeremy… I found working with Jeremy very easy. He sat down with us to review every aspect of the project, explained things in great detail, from the type of siding (he even brought out a sample of what I wanted vs. a sample of what he prefers to use) and benefits of each, to the small detail work around existing plugs and vents. Jeremy worked tirelessly to get the project done within our budget. He is honest and reliable. He kept us updated on the progress of the project; even touching base on the weekend. He was patient with our every question (and there were many). If Jeremy felt anything extra had to be done to make the end result perfect, he called us and we discussed our options before moving forward. Thank goodness for his guidance! I can’t believe how great our house looks now. If you could see the before and after photos, you would never believe it was the same house! So many of our neighbors have complimented us on the look. I very highly recommend Sensible Home Projects to anyone that needs siding.

Absolutely no pressure sales. Jeremy came out looked at the house, LISTENED to what we wanted to do. He made some suggestions and we discussed…but never any pressure with respect to materials, colors, etc… We contracted a large job (Roof, Siding, Garage Doors) and we were given a very fair price (based on competing quotes for labor and materials). They weren’t the cheapest, but I’ve gone that route before. Once they started, Sensible Home worked everyday that they were able (barring weather). Each night, the property was cleaned of debris and materials neatly stored the next day. Typically, Jeremy would call at least once a day to explain what was completed and next steps. If something came up, Jeremy would call, explain the issue and give us a few options to decide how to proceed. He was very sensitive to our budget all the way through the process. At the end of the day we went from probably the most “tired” looking house on the street to the nicest. If you’re willing to invest in your home to improve the appeal, value, whatever…then Sensible Home Products should be part of your pool of contractors bidding. All in all, they took what could have been a very stressful process and turned it into a positive experience.

Hiring Jeremy from Sensible Home Products was one of the best choices my husband and I have made as home owners. To start he did an amazing job. The siding on our house was beyond old, and he encountered many problems during the process, and yet he was able to solve each problem way better than we could have asked for. It is like we have a brand new home now. Also his customer service is AMAZING. He and his crew are kind and go above and beyond to not only get the job done but keep you in the process. Despite how hopeless I felt about our house being fixed he proved that there is no job he cannot handle. Whenever I do anything else to my house, my husband and I are definitely only hire him from now on.

Fate is a funny thing. Sometimes there are tiny little signs out there that when you’re caught up in your own life, you just don’t take note of till later. Such is the case with hiring Jeremy and Sensible Home Products. After my husband passed away quite expectantly, I made a To Do list of everything he always wanted to repair on our home, but had no money to do it. Sometimes those repairs are put off when you have three kids, and day to day expenses consume your earnings. I knew that having the house sided and insulated was something my husband, Kent, would have definitely wanted to do. So with my To Do list in hand, I proceeded to start making repairs on our home. I knew nothing about siding, zero. So I went on Home Advisor and put my trust in their knowledge of expert contractors and contacted a few. Jeremy was the first to respond to my inquiry. However, I actually met with two other contractors almost within days. I think the enormity of the project and the sheer magnitude of losing my husband, deflated my excitement to get it done, and so I decided to put it off until I felt more mentally ready. A full year after, I was going through my phone, and Jeremy’s year old text popped up. It occurred to me that I had never met with him, and recalled that he had been eager to look at the house and provide his suggestions. So, I called him and set up an appointment. Funny thing about fate is, that he had remembered me too. He knew that this project was going to be a tribute of sorts to renovations and repairs that my husband had never got to do. I appreciated that he also, was thinking in those terms. Our home had the original wooden shakes on it, painted three times over. I don’t believe our home had any insulation, this was a house that was literally thrown up in the 50’s as a starter home, in a sub division. There was extensive rot throughout the structure and the windows that they were going to replace had been poorly put in by another contactor, more than a decade ago. Many years before, these windows had lost their seal, so they were a complete eyesore and did nothing to save me energy. Also on the To Do list, was new gutters and new doors. I knew that this was going to be a massive project. However, Jeremy’s team, which included the meticulous skills of Andrew and Dave, showed up every day and worked tirelessly repairing rotten wood, insulating and making sure that the house was structurally ready, before installing the siding. Knowing that the structure of the home was now sound, was comforting. So when it came time to do the aesthetic portion of the home, I put my faith in Jeremy’s color suggestions and held my breath. I consider that I have a great eye for color and texture, and love to decorate. So allowing someone else to sell me their vision of how the house could look, was a bit nerve wracking. However, when every single element; the doors, the shudders, the trim, the windows, were put all together, the result was nothing short of beautiful! This is what my husband and I had envisioned our home to look like upon our very first viewing of it with the realtor. The fact that my husband never got a chance to see it, makes the project bittersweet. However, I think that he would be beaming at the craftsmanship of the visual, and be comforted in knowing that the structure of the home was sound. A side note to this renovation…Jeremy picked out a stunning front door. It is a Craftsman 6 lite, Chestnut Mahogany with a dentil shelf. It’s the showpiece of the house. However, a week after it was installed, I noticed that the glass had developed fine, “scratches.” I called Jeremy and he said that it could have been a thermal fracture from the temperature change. He reassured me that he would make it right. I realize a claim at this point will take time, but I have faith that Jeremy is on it!

I couldn’t be happier with the work that Sensible Home Products did on my home. Ill begin by saying Im a perfectionist and work in the construction industry as a Project Manager. I hire (and fire) contractors for a living and expect a lot of contractors who are involved on my projects. I called up and met with over 7 contractors when it was time to do my siding and roofing job. I saw everything, from the 2 hour-long presentation to a 2 minute walk around and estimate on a scrap piece of paper. When I met Jeremy (the owner) I knew immediately he was a top contender for the work. Jeremy is polite, courteous and very knowledgeable about his trade. From talking with him and looking at his pictures and driving by his previous jobs, its obvious he takes extreme pride in the work he does. He sat with my wife and I, showed us his work and explained the different products he works with. I was very impressed with the way he does his window trim, I havent seen anything like it from all of the contractors I met with and with the type of siding he uses. The Prodigy siding is an amazing product, insulated, ridged and nicely textured. No one else offered a product close to that. His estimate was spot on. It was no where near as high as the dog and pony show contractor and fairly priced above the fly by night napkin estimate we got from the low end guy. After I finished meeting with all of the contractors on my list, it was a no brainer, Jeremy was our guy. When it was time to sign the contract, I put Jeremy through his paces. My home is 80 years old with many quirky add-ons. I made sure he was able to explain how he would perform the work in certain tricky areas and nothing stumped him, he really is a problem solver. We signed on the dotted line positive we were receiving the best work at the best price. When Sensible Home Products showed up to start my work, all of the plants around my house were protected and my yard was kept very clean for a construction zone. Upon beginning to strip my roof, it was revealed that there were 3 layers of shingles, rather than the 2 I had thought. Jeremys guys had to work twice as hard and had to order a second dumpster. Jeremy took on the added cost. Amazing! No contractor does that for their customers! The roof was completed quickly and professionally and looks incredible. After the roof was done, Jeremys crew began stripping the siding. Jeremy himself and his lead guy Andrew actually went around filling gaps in my old board sheathing with insulation, I never even asked for that! Jeremy was just going above and beyond, I was very impressed! The siding was the bulk of the job. With 25 windows and 3 exterior doors to trim out, the detail work was critical and painstaking. Just like me, Jeremy is a stickler for the details and was on site everyday making sure his guys got it right. Any concerns I had were addressed immediately and professionally. I cant be more sincere when I say that out of all of the contractors I have worked with, both at work and for my home, Jeremy was the best hands down. By the end working with Jeremy and seeing him everyday became like working with a friend. He is a great guy with a huge heart and genuinely cares about making sure his customer is beyond satisfied with the work he performs on their homes. I will definitely hire Sensible Home Products again if need be and have recommended them to all of my friends and family.

Jeremy and Sensible Home Products did an outstanding job on the vinyl siding installation for our home. We selected him after interviewing and receiving estimates from the large “brand name” outfits you regularly see advertised, and down to the one-man-show independent siding installers. Ask yourself why he has jobs already reserved months from now, yet he doesn’t have anywhere near the level of advertising as the big brand names. The reason is he and his crew do top quality work and will absolutely not stop until you are completely satisfied. Luckily, he saw we wanted to get the job done before the cold weather set in because our old cedar siding could not tolerate another winter, and he was able to rearrange his schedule to make it work for us. If you have questions or concerns along the way, he is always just a phone call away, which was great for someone like me who is very particular about the look and installation methods because I’m a fairly capable DIYer, so there were methods and materials that I wanted them to use on my home. I really appreciated his and the crew’s attention to not only my concerns, but the small details that we didn’t see. Many installers will side over compromised structure and move onto the next job, but Jeremy and his crew evaluate and go ahead to replace any rotten sheathing or studs before they begin re-siding, knowing that their finished product is only as good as what’s underneath. They worked professionally, politely and, above all, honestly. He will not snowball you with a flashy presentation or pressure you into making a deal. Instead he gives an honest evaluation of your property and what it needs, and lets his past work do the talking. You won’t have any buyer’s remorse going with Sensible. Pound for pound, they are by far the best choice you can make and I will continue to recommend Jeremy to my friends any family.

My husband and I recently had some trouble with the bottom of our siding and we met with several different contractors to resolve this. Each contractor had a price quote greater than the other and it was just getting ridiculous, and some quotes were ‘low’ but they did not come with the true repair that was needed. As soon as I spoke with Jeremy he explained to me what truly would need to be done without even seeing our house. Based upon what I had described to him, he formulated a simple and understandable approach to fixing this small problem. Within a week, his partner Andrew came to the house and met with my husband. Again, we were given very clear and honest feedback about what needed to be done; no bells and whistles, just a practical approach. Jeremy and his team were the only ones that did not try to sell us a residing job and were very transparent about competing contractors simply trying to take advantage of us. Jeremy gave us a very fair quote with a range, depending on labor and materials, and thoroughly broke it down for us; all the other contractors quotes were at least 3 times what Jeremy was quoting and although he was not the ‘cheapest’ quote we received, it was the most thorough and sensible. Jeremy was always available and was great at checking in with us before our project was started. What was most impressive was the quality of workmanship from the second the team arrived, at 7:30am on a Saturday nonetheless, to when we saw the final product later that afternoon. The team was respectful of our property and cleaned up not only their mess but the mess left by a previous contractor who ended up being very dishonest and we discontinued service. Although our journey for this fix started out hectic, frustrating and dishonest, Jeremy and Andrew took our concerns and created a solution. This team provided excellent customer service, workmanship and overall honesty, and we would gladly work with them again.

We’re going to start off by saying that Jeremy and his crew are bar none the best company that we have ever worked with. Upon purchasing our new home, we knew that something needed to be done with old, peeling clapboard. In addition to that, the previous owner replaced just half of the windows and the front balcony needed new posts/railings and a roof. We have an attached shed and 5 doghouse dormers so we knew that this wasn’t going to be a small job and had to choose a company that could handle it. We met with three different companies to go over our project, including Sensible Home Products. Jeremy arrived on time and ready to go, with a sample of the siding that they use and plenty of pictures of other finished projects. Based on meeting with the other companies, we had first decided to go with CertainTeed’s monogram siding. However, Jeremy quickly changed our minds after showing us and explaining how Alside’s insulated Prodigy siding is superior. We also discussed the desire to replace the rest of the old windows and how we wanted to closely match them with the others that were new. Although this was a unique situation, Jeremy had no problem with having to put in extra time and work to find a close match. Before Jeremy left, he made sure that we were all on the same page and confirmed that he would get back us with an estimate. He was upfront about everything and we liked how his recommendations were to benefit us, not just him. When we made the decision to proceed, Jeremy returned and made sure that we fully understood the contract before signing. He made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process and did not pressure us at all. Project Details On the first day, Jeremy and his crew arrived early to make sure that the delivery of the dumpster went smoothly. We gave him specific instructions on where to put it and he made sure it happened. His crew was prompt, courteous and clean, showing up every day on time and cleaned up before they left. As unforeseen problems came up, such as rotted wood, Jeremy quickly called and provided pictures of the issues. Each time, he would explain the problem, provide options to fix it and made sincere recommendations as to what he would do if this was his house. This is one of the many qualities that we love about Jeremy and his crew. They’re passionate about their work and they care. They treat your home as if it were their own. Throughout the entire process, Jeremy was in contact with us every day. He called with questions about specific details before proceeding and would also check-in at the end of the day to make sure that we were happy with how things were progressing. When we asked for some additional work outside of the original scope, he had no problem getting this done and doing it right. For example, in the middle of the project we asked if he could install new exterior french doors in place of existing doors. We picked them out online from a local store and Jeremy went there to check them out – He wanted to make sure the quality was good and that they would fit. He even had the store representative open them (they were screwed shut) so he could confirm that the latches would work with our setup. As the project neared completion, our house was completely transformed. To make sure we were satisfied with everything and nothing was missed, Jeremy asked us to walk around the house and send him a list of anything that was not completed or that we were unhappy with. Throughout the entire process, it was clear that Jeremy’s number one priority was to make sure that we were happy. In conclusion, we couldn’t be happier with the decision to use Sensible Home Products. The workmanship from Jeremy’s crew is incredible, the communication was perfect and the final product is beautiful. Jeremy does not hesitate to go out of his way to make sure the job is done right.

Professional. Courteous. Integrity. Three words that come to mind after working with Sensible Home Products to reside my house this past winter. At the beginning of the year, my home was struck by a drunk driver. The vehicle strike to the corner of the house required the replacement of all the siding, gutters and downspouts. Research completed, insurance check in bank, and 5 appointments set for the day. Here’s what the line up consisted of BEFORE I met with Jeremy: no show, no call, no I won’t reschedule with you; arrive smelling of alcohol so I know your crew will be drinking on my property; thank you for the incomplete job quote to allow for ever increasing “surprises”; wonderful, the quote is 1 1/2 to 2 times the budget number. I believe it was Zig Ziglar who said when you do the right thing, good things come to you. I was returning home for the appointment with Sensible Home Products when I had car problems. I had made arrangements for the car repair and to be on time for the appointment. I began to call Jeremy from Sensible Home Products but he was already on the phone calling me. He was able to meet earlier than scheduled and was confirming I was home. Jeremy gave a brief overview of his company and asked if he could be at my house in 15 minutes. I mentioned the car problem and asked to keep the original appointment time, 45 minutes later. Jeremy switched from pitching the job to asking if I needed help. Yes, Jeremy went from selling his business to what can I do to help you? After several calls, the appointment was rescheduled for the following day. Jeremy arrived on time and prepared to look at the property and present a quote. He was very professional and straight-forward. He explained the product (Prodigy Insulated siding) the company used, why they used it and why they didn’t use anything else. He walked around the house, measured and gave me a job quote. I had made the decision to go with Sensible Home Products not after the appointment and receiving the quote but when Jeremy stopped selling his business and went out of his way to help me with my car dilemma. Jeremy didn’t reschedule the appointment and hang up the phone; he made the decision to help without measuring it against the bottom line. Jeremy was in contact with us about star dates, weather delays, product delivery and placement. He took the time to answer any questions and never left us wondering when the weather became a factor for our residing job. The crew members for Sensible Home Products were extremely professional. They took the time to answer any questions either my husband or I asked them. Nothing, absolutely nothing, was left on the ground each day they were able to work. We are extremely happy with the completed look of the house.

My wife and I had done an enormous amount of research prior to choosing Jeremy for our siding and window project. This was our first huge commitment since purchasing our first home in Enfield, CT. Jeremy was extremely polite and thorough during his visit to our home and was the ONLY one who did not try to have us “sign” right then and there. Jeremy also took time to explain some of the other quotes we had gotten since he was not the cheapest and obviously we did not want to spend more than we needed to. He took time to explain what his company and team would do and how they would go about the “makeover”. Our home was built in 1971 and had been painted over by the previous two owners and it was time to get all the garbage off the home including the gutters. It was an enormous eye sore and now it has gotten compliments from neighbors and even two people who stopped by during the project to ask who was doing/did the work. We would recommend Jeremy to anyone considering their home improvement project. I should add that Jeremy was not the first company to visit us and not the last, but the only one we felt comfortable to get the job done RIGHT and as we talked about. Too many salesman out there looking to take money and not be thorough about what needs to be done to earn the money! Very pleased.

I met with six different contractors over the course of one month and knew within minutes of meeting Jeremy from Sensible Home Products that he was the right fit for our home improvement project. Jeremy arrived on time with his partner to discuss our remodel and came prepared with samples, pictures, ideas and best of all, a sense of humor. Many of the other contractors I met with were focused on getting the job done quickly and neglected to provide details on how extensive the project would be. Four out of the six contractors suggested we side over the existing wood shingles which would save us time and money. Jeremy was the first contractor to suggest we strip the entire home of the existing wood shingles and start from scratch with the vinyl. I shared with him the siding method the other contractors were suggesting and he went into great detail about what it meant to side over shingles and how it would negatively impact our home long-term. He took the time to provide a very comprehensive explanation on why his company does not offer that method to its customers. He explained that if we had an unknown issue underneath the shingles such as mold or rot and he sided over the wood, that unknown issue would be encapsulated under the new siding. Down the road, when the issue presented itself, the new siding would then need to be ripped down, and the issue would need to be addressed. Jeremy is simply unwilling to provide this type of disservice to his customers. Day one of the project, the house was stripped and the first unknown issue arose. The woodpecker damage was pretty severe, especially on all four corners of the house. It was determined that the corners were going to have to be re-built and other areas corrected before moving forward. I couldn’t help but remind myself what the other contractors had suggested. Had we sided over the wood shingles, this issue would never have been discovered and it definitely would have caused structural problems down the road. Jeremy knew how important it was for us to have a slider door added to our home so he decided to only charge us the cost of material to rebuild the corners of the house. He could have charged us extra labor for this, but instead, he put our needs first. What I found most impressive about working with Jeremy was the exceptional level of communication he provided throughout the project. Each evening, he would place a call to us to discuss the work that had been done that day. He asked if we were happy, if anything needed to be changed and if we had any questions. He also discussed the work that would take place the following day. He kept us well informed of each step of the project and he was genuinely excited to hear what we thought as we came home to newly completed pieces each day. We often heard things like “Are you excited!!?? Doesn’t it look great!? Or, I can’t wait for you to get home to see what we did today!” His enthusiasm was contagious and rather than feeling stressed about the house being in pieces, we felt excited about the change and how beautiful it was looking. In addition to our nightly calls, Jeremy provided text messages with pictures throughout the day when big pieces of the project were underway. I don’t know many contractors that take the time out of their day to do this. Again, it shows his level of commitment and dedication to the project and our happiness with the quality of his work. Like most homeowners, our home is very special to us. Jeremy has a gift in his ability to make you feel completely comfortable with the process. He assures you that you will never regret spending the money on the house once you see the final result. I can say with absolute certainty that he was right. He truly wants to help people make their homes a more beautiful place to live. I would recommend his company to anyone with a home improvement project without any hesita…

We had gotten several estimates to install new siding and gutters to our nearly 60 yr-old house. Jeremy took the time to educate us on the correct way to side our house. He showed us a variety of colors and types of siding and was extremely knowledgeable. We decided on Sensible Home Products because they were the only company to insist on doing the job properly for the best price. Other companies recommended we side over the old clapboard but found out even though it’s the easiest and cheapest way, it’s not the right way. We were very comfortable with his references and professionalism. No matter how busy his schedule was, he was on our property daily, checking on the work of his crew. After removing the original clapboard, damage was discovered and he worked with our insurance company to resolve the situation and was a great help. We were very happy with the job that was done the right way. Great workmanship, attention to detail and cleaned up every day. We can now feel confident going into the cold winter months with the warmth of insulation and new gutters. We strongly recommend giving Jeremy a call for an estimate.

I have had very few home improvement projects exceed my expectations, but the siding work Sensible Home did on my house did just that. Jeremy sat down with me to review every aspect of the project, from the type of siding and benefits of each to the small detail work around existing plugs and vents. He was patient with my every question (and there were many) and explained things in great deal. At the end of the day, my focus was not on price—although Sensible was competitive with the other vendors who gave me quotes—but on quality. At the end of the day, the project was delivered on and on budget and it made my house striking. The little things matter and every cut, trim piece, and accent speaks to the level of quality Jeremy and his people bring to their work. I could not be happier with the finished product and every one of my neighbors has complimented me on the look.

For those of you who don’t have the time to read this entire review, here’s the short version: excellent customer service and master craftsmen with a strong eye for detail. My house was transformed! Now for the detailed review. I met Jeremy (the owner) in January of this year as I was beginning my research into replacing my windows and adding siding to my 62-year-old house. I liked him from the start – and honestly was tempted to look no further, but due diligence is key for a project of this size and cost. So I met with the other big companies that are advertised on TV and was not impressed. They do not do the work themselves, they contract the work out to someone else. I did not want that. I wanted to know who was doing the work on my house. These representatives were just the sales people selling the services and not doing the actual work and providing a lesser product. No thank you! I had seen Jeremy’s portfolio of work and was very impressed, his employees do the work, and after reading 26 positive reviews on Angie’s List, I was certain that Jeremy was the guy for me. And he did not disappoint. His customer service is exceptional. We have all had our experiences with contractors. They don’t show up on time, you cannot reach them and it’s very frustrating. You call Jeremy, he answers. You text, he calls you right away. He checked in every day of my project. The windows and siding were delivered on time. We thought we’d have an issue with the delivery as I have a very narrow driveway and the siding was to be placed on my lawn by a big machine which barely fit. Jeremy was ready to grab a few men and do it by hand if necessary. No hesitation, this is what they will do. The delivery was fine in the end. The work began on time throughout the entire project. The windows were done in one day – I have 19 windows. The trim for the windows was just perfect. The attention to detail was amazing. The siding project began immediately following the windows; again, Vlad and Victor arrived on time and got so much accomplished each and every day. I was a bit freaked out when Jeremy called to tell me that the sill of the house (in the back) was destroyed by termites. However, he assured me it would be taken care of and it was, it was replaced. They see a problem, they fix it and keep going. Every detail is important. For example, the attic vent matches the color of the siding as does the frame surrounding the outside outlet and vent for my dryer. We got new gutters and downspouts and they put in a new roof on the small porch in the front. Basically, everything from the roof down is new and beautiful. The project is now complete and my home is stunning. Sensible Home Products will do all my future projects. They put pride in their work and their work is perfection. This isn’t about making money, it’s about making the homeowner happy. I am ridiculously happy. Thank you Jeremy, Vlad and Victor.

It was an enourmous eye sore and now it has gotten compliments from neighbors and even two people who stopped by during the project to ask who was doing/did the work. We would reccomend Jeremy to anyone considering their home improvement project. I should add that Jeremy was not the first company to visit us and not the last, but the only one we felt comfortable to get the job done RIGHT and as we talked about. Too many salesman out there lookiing to take money and not be thorough about what needs to be done to earn the money! Very pleased.

Jeremy the owner and his team were very professional. I received several bids that were much higher before I contacted Sensible Home Products. Jeremy took the time to explain what his team were going to do in detail. When the team arrived they were very hard workers and very courteous and finished the job sooner then I thought they would. I would definitely recommend this company. The work they did was much more for a better price then the bids I received from other companies.
